Nick Beaulieu | Director, Writer and Producer

Nick Beaulieu is a filmmaker and freelance journalist from Omaha, Nebraska. Previously, Nick was a Contributing Writer on THE LAST TEAR, a documentary produced by Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He most recently contributed to the series AMERICAN PORTRAIT, filming and editing stories that featured artists and activists from around Nebraska, which aired nationally on PBS. He served a four-year term on the board of directors with Movement in Omaha for Racial Equity (MORE). He has received grants for his work from Humanities Nebraska, the Union for Contemporary Art, the Andy Warhol Foundation and the Mellon Foundation. He’s the founder of “Documentary Omaha”, a community organization committed to advancing the art and education of documentary filmmaking in Omaha.

Doug Block | Producer

Doug Block is an Emmy, Peabody and Sundance award-winning documentary filmmaker based in New York City. He’s perhaps best known for his personal documentaries, which include THE KIDS GROW UP, 112 WEDDINGS and 51 BIRCH STREET, named one of 10 Best Films of the Year by the New York Times. His producing credits include: SILVERLAKE LIFE, JUPITER’S WIFE, PATERNAL INSTINCT, A WALK INTO THE SEA: DANNY WILLIAMS AND THE WARHOL FACTORY, THE EDGE OF DREAMING AND RESURRECT DEAD: THE MYSTERY OF THE TOYNBEE TILES. Doug is also the founder and a co-host of The D-Word, a free online community of more than 24,000 documentary professionals from 163 countries, now in its 26th year.

Kartemquin Films is a collaborative community that empowers documentary makers who create stories that foster a more engaged and just society. Their body of work includes HOOP DREAMS, MINDING THE GAP and numerous other films. With four Academy Award nominations, six Emmy awards, and four Peabody awards, Kartemquin has been described by the Chicago Reader as a “documentary powerhouse,” but it is the recognition for outstanding service to the film community and awards like the Altgeld Freedom of Speech Award for “unflinchingly holding up a mirror to American society” that reflect their deepest purpose. In 2019, that commitment to mission was celebrated by an Institutional Peabody Award for Kartemquin’s “commitment to unflinching documentary filmmaking and telling an American history rooted in social justice and the stories of the marginalized.”

Jordan Montminy | Editor

Jordan Montminy is an Emmy Award winning editor. He recently worked on the award winning documentaries “Savage Waters” and “The 8th” as well as the PBS Frontline “Separated: Children at the Border”, “A Mother Brings Her Son to be Shot,” "The New Yorker Presents” and "We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks.” His work has premiered at Sundance, Tribeca Festival, Hot Docs, CPH:DOX, BFI London and has been seen on HBO, PBS, BBC, VICE, ABC, Discovery, National Geographic, MTV and in theaters. He is a member of British Film Editors, Irish Screen Editors and the Irish Film and Television Academy. He splits his time between Dublin, Ireland and New York City.

Maeve O’Boyle | Consulting Editor

Maeve O’Boyle is an Emmy-award winning editor and producer. She edited THE EDUCATION OF MOHAMMAD HUSSEIN (HBO), which was shortlisted for an Academy Award. She co-produced and edited the Emmy-award-winning FIRESTONE AND THE WARLORD (PBS). She edited and co-produced GROWING UP TRANS (PBS), which won a DuPont Columbia award and co-wrote and edited DO I SOUND GAY?, which premiered at TIFF and was awarded the runner up for People’s Choice Award. Other work includes LEFT OF THE DIAL (HBO), HEAT (PBS), 112 WEDDINGS (HBO & BBC) and THE KIDS GROW UP (HBO), which premiered at IDFA and Full Frame and was awarded a special Jury prize at AFI Docs. Most recently, she co-directed and edited JOAN BAEZ: I AM A NOISE which premiered at the 2023 Berlin Film Festival.

Sarah Lynch | Composer

Sarah Lynch is an IFTA winning composer whose recent projects include JOAN BAEZ: I AM A NOISE; HIDDEN MASTER: THE LEGACY OF GEORGE PLATT LYNES, and SOUND & VISION. Earlier in 2022,  Sarah scored the series THE DRY directed by Paddy Breathnach, for which she won an IFTA for Original Music (2023). Sarah also collaborates with composer Stephen Rennicks, working on feature films such as DEATH OF A LADIES MAN and the BAFTA-winning, Emmy and Golden Globe nominated series NORMAL PEOPLE. In 2019, Sarah was chosen to participate in the ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop, and was the recipient of the Michelle and Dean Kay Award.

Judith Mizrachy | Consulting Producer

Judith Mizrachy is a New York City-based independent producer whose recent films include the Academy Award®-nominated documentary THE MARTHA MITCHELL EFFECT, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was released globally on Netflix in 2022, and THE BOOKSELLERS, which premiered at the 2019 New York Film Festival and was released in the U.S. by Greenwich Entertainment and internationally by Magnolia Pictures. Her most recent film, UNCROPPED, about the great Village Voice photographer James Hamilton, premiered as the Centerpiece at DOC NYC in 2023 and opened theatrically in 2024. Judith previously served as the Director of Marketing and Communications at Women Make Movies.

Summers Henderson | Editor / Assistant Editor

Summers Henderson is a filmmaker and film editor based in Oakland, California, with credits that include SAWDUST & SAND, TOP SPIN and INFORMANT, which won the Grand Jury prize at the DOC NYC film festival. He has worked as an assistant editor and associate editor on several projects, including the Oscar-nominated HBO films KINGS POINT, WHEN WE WERE BULLIES and HOW DO YOU MEASURE A YEAR?

John Kaye | Creative Consultant

John Kaye is the author of two novels, Stars Screaming and The Dead Circus. He has also written numerous screenplays, including AMERICAN HOT WAX, WHERE THE BUFFALO ROAM, RAFFERTY AND THE GOLD DUST TWINS, and FOREVER LULU, which he also directed. He wrote and produced the “The Lohman and Barkley Show” and worked for Wolper Productions producing documentary films.
